Staff Centre Shipmanagement presents the series of brief summaries about the 10 Company-operated Supramax size vessels
We would like to present one of the SCS-managed vessel Anarita. Built on 5 april 2012 in Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding CO, in China, she flies the flag of Liberia and is registered at the Port of Monrovia. The class of the vessel is BV. M/v Anarita is a Handymax bulk carrier of 32839 gross tonnage. The bulker has 5 cargo holds equipped with self-discharging arrangement and 8 watertight compartments constructed of high tensile steel grade Q3. Moreover, the fire insulation for bulkhead separating hold #5 from the machinery space is classed as A60. It is worth adding that the vessel is equipped with the main propulsion engine by MAN, model 6S50MCC with an output of 8700 kW, and 3 diesel generators of 610 kW each and one emergency generator of 99 kW. The propeller is of aerofoil blade type, its diameter is 6050 mm and its pitch is 4284.0 mm. The excellent design of the engine, the right-hand propeller and their timely maintenance allow the vessel to reduce fuel consumption up to 25,0 metric tonnes per day at eco-speed. It is worth to mention her automation installations as there are a full monitoring and control station in the engine control room and a central monitoring and control station in the wheel house, that all manufactured by Terasaki Electric. We would like to emphasize that the bridge control includes speed control, reversing control, start and stop of main engine; manoeuvring control of steering gear; emergency stop (engine room fans, fuel oil pumps, lube oil pumps, accommodation space fans); fire general service pump, bilge general service pump, emergency fire pump remote control. Also, automation systems provide automation control and monitoring of servitude auxiliaries, namely seawater cooling, LT&HT fresh water cooling, circulating, feeding, lubricating and booster pumps. Finally, all generators and other complementary auxiliaries are with automatic starting and control.
The integral part of a successful operation of a vessel is the availability of valid certifications and survey status. As for the former, the set of all the necessary certificates, such as Class Certificate, Load Line Certificate, SOLAS certificates, MARPOL certificates, Ballast Water Management Certificate, ILO 152 Cargo Gear, Anti-Fouling System Certificate, was updated in 2017. As for the latter, the last Special Survey took place in April, 2017.
We are proud of the excellent results of various inspections of m/v Anarita. Self-assessments procedures are arranged on board of all SCS-vessels, and all crew members are always provided with proper training prior to entering a port of inspection. In accordance with Concentrated Inspection Campaigns 2017, m/v Anarita has a Low Risk Ship profile in accordance with Annex VII of the Paris MoU; her RightShip Star Rating is 5 and RightShip GHG Rating is D+ as per global commodity companies, BHP Billiton and Rio Tinto.
The effective operation carried out by Staff Centre Group has guaranteed no off-hire events in the commercial history of the vessel.
